In the original Ocean's Eleven (1960) Frank Sinatra plays Danny Ocean with support from Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Angie Dickinson and more. Eleven buddies who served together in World War II plan a caper to steal millions. The heist isn't so much a heist, but five casino heists to be pulled off in a single night. It looks like things are going off without a hitch until...
In the modern remake (2001), George Clooney plays the role of Danny Ocean. This time around, to make the eleven, Danny hires professionals and the heist is a modest three casinos. Rather than a full night, the plan is to rob all three casinos during the Lennox Lewis/Wladimir Klitschko fight. There's a girl involved, and an acrobat of course, an EMP generator (EMP = electromagnetic pulse), a gangster and more.
Both movies are a lot of fun, and both DVDs are available for sale online at the links below.
